COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This in your face Lambic style fruit beer will take your mouth on a veritable roller coaster ride! Aged 4 years in Jim Beam barrels where it underwent a metamorphosis with the addition of two strains of wild yeast and two strains of bacteria. This mouth puckering mother imparts flavors of vanilla, bourbon, coconut, and chocolate, but doesn’t stop there. Over two pounds of sweet cherries per gallon bring it over the top as it glides down the tracks into cherry-chocolate tart oblivion.

tap at sourfest. 4 years in jim beam barrels? sheesh. pours a dead brown with plum colored highlights. a nice layer of tart chocolate covered cherries is complimented by a sweet raisin bread, seasoning salt, layer. also some unwelcomed medicinal, bandaid notes. interesting beer, but so sure i could handle this on a regular basis. not that I’m a wuss or anything, just a combination of flavors in aromas that i would prefer to consume more sparingly.

On tap at Sour Fest. A odd complex beer. Pours a pure black color with a tiny white head. The aroma is raspberry cherry coffee. Rich huge flavors of tobacco, sour fruit, funk, wild berries, stout-like flavors. A ton here and very different.

Nose is full of sweet cherries, tobacco, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla. Like a flanders red with cherries in a way. Wow, nice aroma. Pours dark brown almost black, no head, lots of pulp - like black pineapple juice. Cherry juice, chocolate bourbon, sour cherry, funky tartness, vinegar, pipe tobacco in the finish. Interesting somewhat like a flanders red. Straight pulpy mouthfeel, interestingly tart. Super odd, but super good. Mouth puckering tartness lingers for a long while. Beer is actually chewy.
