Bottle from Arden Wines. Tizer red with a shrinking uneven head and lace. Looks a bit unreal...but, sweet casky hazelnut and choc on the snout, slick caramel velvet and malt nuttiness beyond. Wood and faint almond, light tang of orange yeast, mostly nuts and choc. Creamy, clean and filtered but un-bland like a decent Irish red. No hops but who needs ’em? Tasty ale.

On Gravity at the Old Tavern, Bristol 23/2/08. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head. Fruity malt aroma. Flavour of caramel with some red berries and a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Bottle. Golden with no carbonation and poured with a small head. Some hops are present and a subtle bitterness soon s develops. Medium body with a soft texture. Impressive

Canterbury Beer Festival, with SilkTork. Slightly hazy copper colour. The aroma was rather vague, with a bit of malt but not much else that I could identify. Flavours are fruit and hops, with a bit of sweet toffee. Nicely balanced. A very pleasant beer. Cask (gravity dispense)

Canterbury Fest. Pleasantly fruity best bitter. Some citric notes. Possibly a Goldings and Fuggles hops with a pale malt mix. Pleasing. The two Glastonbury beers, while not being especially outstanding, were decent and well made. Not bad for a brewery only going since 2002.
