A golden bitter with plenty of floral hop and fruit on the nose and palate, the sweetness giving way to a bitter hop finish. Full-bodied for a session bitter.

Grain and cereal malts, light floral hops. Clear gold, small, frothy, white head. Light bitter. Grain malts continue, light citrus fruits, flat carbonation. OK Bitter, nothing too crazy though. Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico.

Bottle on holiday in Lyme Regis. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Fine carbonation. Light dry malts, not that sweet. Mild floralness and a touch of spice. Well buried hoppy citrus and citric peel. Light finish. Serviceable bitter.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy amber ale with lacey white head. Fresh fruity malty aroma. Dense mouthfeel, well balanced with good carbonation. Pleasant blend of malty sweetness and bitter slightly metallic hops. Notes of bitter orange marmalade, citrus rind, spruce. Slightly dry finish.

Bottle from ASDA Poole. Hugely over carbonated to the point of being offensive. Light orange and cloudy. Fresh aroma and taste, light caramel body and zesty cascade grapefruit. Hard to pick out the subtleties with the prickly carb. Not their best batch I suspect?

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Bright amber with a ring of white head; citrus aroma; clean citrusy taste; and a dry finish, with a sharp, strong, but shortlived bitterness. A very good Golden Ale.

Hand pulled at The Malt Cross, , Nottingham. Finally some hops tonight! Bitter with much needed hoppy goodness after a bland few beers today. Good.
