Cask Handpump at the Crescent, Salford 25/07/2003 Dark coloured slightly rich on the palate and some alcohol. Dry finish with a hint of whisky.

A purple-black beer, Pomparles has a complex aroma that is sweet, soar and salty. Flavours are of plain chocolate and coffee with a touch of salt. The bitterness is the plain chocolate variety. A bit of sulphur there as well. A good porter.
