Cask conditioned handpump Cask & Kitchen London 03/05/13. A black beer with a little beige head. Plenty of coffee and bitter roast in this. Coffee in the mouth is especially strong. A touch of chocolate in the swallow. A competent coffee porter served just a bit too warm.

Cask in Bacchus, Newcastle. Pours mahogany with a creamy beige head. Nice fairly mild coffee aroma. There taste has some pleasant coffee and chocolate notes, but they are dominated by a fairly unpleasant metallic flavour. Thin body. Not great.

Cask. Solid, dark chocolate, very dark black pour. Mild coffee hints, but not as significant of a coffee taste as I expected for a ’cappuccino porter’. Decent dark porter, if a touch disappointed with what I actually got.

Dark brown colour, nice beige head. Roasted and toasted notes with some coffee. Taste is the same as aroma. Some roastness, melanoidins and coffee. Too high carbonation for the porter. Good, but nothing special.

Aroma: toasted malts, intense, sweet coffee, cacao. Appearance: black, small, creamy, beige head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: sweet milky coffee (could go through as a cappuccino), toasted malts, slightly dry, bitter finish. Overall: nice, sweet Porter, good aroma and palate. Pint at CASK Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico.

WYGLĄD: Barwa ciemnobrunatna, nieprzejrzyste. Piana drobna, wysoka, dość trwała. Bardzo ładnie zdobi szkło.
AROMAT: Średnio intensywny. Czuć wyraźnie kawę. W tle gorzka czekolada, może odrobina nut likierowych.
SMAK: Delikatnie palone. Gładkie. Posmak kawowy. Goryczka średnia, nieco zalegająca.
OGÓLNIE: Dobry angielski porter.

Cask. Pours black with light brown beige tiny head. Aroma is like old vold coffee, roast, some dark fruits. Taste is a bit similar, light bitter, malty, old coffee dark fruits. Dark chocolate in long dry finish.

Bottle. Really great and smooth porter, lots of dark chocolate, some fruity notes and very good coffee flavour and aroma. Medium bodied, softly carbonated, low bitter finish. Great beer.

Kolor: ciemnobrunatny, klarowny.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Islington, London, 24 Apr 2015) Black colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, black rye bread and a balanced coffee bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well made porter, with a nice coffee touch. Nice one.
