3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask conditioned handpump Cask & Kitchen London 03/05/13. A black beer with a little beige head. Plenty of coffee and bitter roast in this. Coffee in the mouth is especially strong. A touch of chocolate in the swallow. A competent coffee porter served just a bit too warm.

Cask at Cask PK. Black, mostly opaque with a red tinge. Small head doesn’t endure. Bubbles bursting at the top. Smells of ashtray. Body is medium, rich, velvety, not foamy at all, smooth as you like. Taste - more ashtray, enduring smokey aftertaste, touch of coffee liquer. Not bad at all.

Looks good - strong light brown head. Aroma is bland, slight artificial melon whiff. Taste is good - light but with a (very faint) nice coffee hint.

On cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell, 10/05/13. Cappuccino Porter. Quality coffee & choc aroma. Good, light coffee flavours, mix well with sweet, choccy malt and full, creamy body. Light hoppy flavours, but dark, sweet, creamy choc malt & tasty sweet coffee dominate. Nice, light coffee finish. Tasty & drinkable.

Cask @ CPK. Deep brown with a tiny tan head. The nose is sweet chocolate malts, some nuts, roasted coffee bean and general charred grain. The taste is smooth, sweet sugary coffee creamer, espresso, more chocolate malt. Lactose. Medium body, supple. Soft mouthfeel. Overall, this ticks the boxes. Nice, if not transcendent.
