Cask conditioned handpump Cask & Kitchen London 03/05/13. A black beer with a little beige head. Plenty of coffee and bitter roast in this. Coffee in the mouth is especially strong. A touch of chocolate in the swallow. A competent coffee porter served just a bit too warm.

Cask at the Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken white head. The aroma is light fruit malt. The flavour is light bitter sweet with a light coffee malt hop bitter palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at Craft Clerkenwell, deep red-black with a coffee coloured head, coffee, red fruit and toffee nose. Creamy and dry malty body, with a definite coffee note, espresso not capuchino though.

Cask (Fitzgeralds, Sunderland) - Black in colour. Coffee, roasted malt and a hint of treacle in the aroma. Roasted taste with notes of coffee and chocolate dominating. Quite smooth and easy to drink.

Cask at Craft Islington. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is roasted malt, toast, earth, dried fruits, cocoa and coffee. The taste is roasted malt, toast, earth, chocolate and milky coffee with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not exactly much depth, but a solid enough brew anyhow.

From Cask @ Cask Pub & Kitchen as "Glastonbury Thriller Rare Cappuccino". It’s really hard to call this anything else than black in the glass. It even has a small spotting beige filmy head. Smells really nice. Roasted with dark chocolate and cardboard-cold-coffee. Soft nitro like in the mouth. Nice flavors. Gentle chocolate and a little bit of dry licorice. I get cardboard on the taste also, but quite subdued. Really gliding and easy to drink/like. 09.11.2013

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of light coffee, toffee and chocolate. Taste has more of the same. Light bitter. Slightly watery at the end. Ok.

Cask at Craft Islington. Dark brown black beer, hints of red. Nice and complex, restrained roastiness, chocolate, some damson fruit, hints of tar and a malty finish somewhere in between twiglets and marmite. Enjoyable.

Cask at Cask PK. Black, mostly opaque with a red tinge. Small head doesn’t endure. Bubbles bursting at the top. Smells of ashtray. Body is medium, rich, velvety, not foamy at all, smooth as you like. Taste - more ashtray, enduring smokey aftertaste, touch of coffee liquer. Not bad at all.
