Bottle. Pours a brown color with an persistent ivory head. Dark fruits and sweet malt in the aroma. An earthy smokiness kind of fills out the background of caramel and toffee. Tons of malt in this beer, I don’t perceive any hops. Dry finish with a lingering, and somewhat astringent, candy aftertaste.

Soft, airy, smooth mouthfeel. Finishes dry. Light tart. Stone fruit bitter. Very nice. Shame a glass full ended up on the kitchen floor.

From bottle at Kerstbierfest 2014. Murky brown pour with thin foamy off white head. Aroma is sweet, chocolaty, fruity, lots of brown sugar. Taste is toasty, slightly boozy, not too sweet, nice drinkability from the toasted malt character.Palate is full bodied with med carbonation.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Aroma is subtle but sweet and malty with some caramel notes. Pours dark brown with a rich beige head. Taste is sweet and dry with a medium body. Palate has a medium thick feeling. Overall a njce beer though it lacks something special to be really great.
