Bouteille: Reddish chestnut-amber coloured, stable off-white foamy layer, sweet caramelly-toasty nose, some vinous traces detectable, a bit like a german Doppelbock; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, but a bit slim for a beer of 8.7%; some vinous traces, again, in the fruity-caramelly finish. a good brew, not too demanding...

750 ml bottle, corked and caged. Dark brown beer with purple highlights and a thick tan head. Soft plummy aroma and caramel malts underneath a rich pudding-like spiciness. Rum, caramel and sweet baking spices with light banana and chocolate as well. Everything is well-balanced and very inviting. Soft palate, slightly chewy but not cloying, chocolate and caramel flavours from the majority of the malts. Warming intensifies the lovely yeasty spiciness. Earthy bitterness on the back along with some light prickly alcohol drying out each mouthful. Custurdy richness. Lingering spice and cocoa on the finish. Quite a lovely brew
