Dark cloudy amber body, a thick creamy beige head, film clings to the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel, and apples. Bitter on the back of the tongue, fruity sweet of apples and pears.

Jul 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a bighead. Aroma is hoppy, but also a bit soapy. Flavour i also hoppy, but tastes a bit like dishwashing soap, and it is thin.

Jul 12, 2008 Yeasty aroma but a fantastic appearance. Perfect head and lacing . Slight chocolate taste with e strong flavor and hint of alcohol. Good finish with a mellow malty palate.

Jun 25, 2008 Pours dark amber with off white head. Aromas of dark fruits and sweetness. Fruity sweetness, raisins, plums, bread, and Belgian yeast. Medium body with lively carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. A decent BSA.

Jun 10, 2008 750ml bottle. Came gushing out upon opening the cap. Deep brown-amber color with a large, slowly fading head. Bottle describes it as a Special Belgian Dubbel, which is a lot more relevantly descriptive than "Belgian Strong Ale". More of a a fruity malt delight than a sweet dark candi sugar Dubbel. The yeast profile and soft mouthfeel will be familiar if you’ve had other De Glazen Toren stuff. Mellow and drinkable, with a pungent, fruity caramel taste that works quite well.

May 30, 2008 Bottled. Tasting @ Kolding Bryglaug. Aroma is a bit milky, intense caramel malty. hazy, brown coloured with an off-white, big head. Taste has milk & butter, caramel malty. Medium bodied beer.
