Taster on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Clear yellow color. Ring of white head. Leaves a few good reaches and ropes of lace. Great tart spicy sour nose, some apple. Good calvados barrel aroma. Medium to bigger body. Moderate sour, some good barrel tannin, mild bitter. Light to moderate sweet. Moderately spicy. Tasty, complex barrel aged white beer. One of the most complex white beers I’ve ever had, and maybe the only one with such a bold barrel component. Works nicely.

On draft at Churchkey in DC. Pours a hazy pale gold with a massive white head. Sour brett aroma. Flavors of tart apple, oak, vanilla and calvados. Wow. Quite extradorinary.

Draft at Torst, tasted 04/27/2013. Pours cloudy, light gold orange, fine creamy head rests over the surface, lacing all the way down. Aroma has big candied apple, light lemon wheat, spicy floral notes, calvados character on the end. Taste of white fruit, apple prevalent, green grapes, spicy wheat malts, cedar-like wood finish. Medium palate, creamy carbonation. Lovely.
