COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ondineke is a classic tripel, brewed in the ancient way, again with exclusive natural ingredients: artesian water, malt (barley), hops, yeast and liquid candy sugar. As in the Saison no spices are added. Ondineke is an unfiltered top fermenting beer. It is soft, creamy, and of golden color. It is double hopped with the last real hops available from the region of Aalst (The variety is Hallertau Mittelfrüh). Ondineke has a positive taste evolution and the bottles are best kept standing in a cool, dark place. It is best before two years after the bottling date. 8.5 % alc.vol. makes this a beer to be savoured. Preferably Ondineke is to be served at a temperature between 6 to 10° C. Moreover Ondineke is at its best when served in the originally designed Glazen Toren glass.

Hazy golden body with a rather small, white, long-lived head. Quite strong aroma of spices, Belgian yeast and fruity hints. Moderate flavour that follows the aroma, with additional notes of citrus, peach and alcohol. Moderate sweet taste, with a light to moderate bitter long-lasting finish. Mid-bodied and dry. Another solid brew form Glazen Toren.

Bottle, Alehouse Bottle Share, 2nd June 2015. Golden appeaeance with white lacing. Musty aroma and old socks. Some oxidation. Taste is lemons, honey, white wine grapes and oak. Subtle and very drinkable. Very light for the abv. Good for the style.

Bottle (750 ml). Split 2-ways.

Appearance: Slightly hazy bright golden with a huge creamy white head, very good retention and some lacing.

Aroma: There’s the Glazen Toren yeast signature with peppery notes, herbal presence, noble hops, biscuity malts and light citrusy/fruity notes.

Taste: Quite yeasty as well with some candi sweetness, peppery notes, herbal presence, biscuity malts, light fruitiness and a touch of alcohol.

Palate: Medium to full body. Medium to medium-high carbonation. Ample and fluffy mouthfeel. Yeasty finish. A bit of caramel.

Overall: Very good classic Tripel. Not too boozy and quite easily drinking for the style. Well balanced despite being quite yeasty. Tasty stuff.

Corpo decisamente assente.

pours clear bright gold with a reviving creamy white head, good retention and lacing. pale doughy and biscuity maltiness, fat yet crispy and peppery - ritz-like *TM, fruitiness - white grapes; golden candi, yeast, woodsy vanilla, lots of grass, grassy leafiness, drying and bittering herbs, Ginger and other spices. lively carbonation, medium body - oily and almost fluffy; slightly boozy, semi-sweet and herbal-grassy-spicy finish. nicely executed classic tripel.

Mooi uitzicht en schuimkraag, maar veel te zoet. Van de glazen toren had ik dat niet verwacht..

Poured a very nice murky orange with a lively head. Very slight spice in the mouth with alcohol well hidden.
