Ondineke is a classic tripel, brewed in the ancient way, again with exclusive natural ingredients: artesian water, malt (barley), hops, yeast and liquid candy sugar. As in the Saison no spices are added. Ondineke is an unfiltered top fermenting beer. It is soft, creamy, and of golden color. It is double hopped with the last real hops available from the region of Aalst (The variety is Hallertau Mittelfrüh). Ondineke has a positive taste evolution and the bottles are best kept standing in a cool, dark place. It is best before two years after the bottling date. 8.5 % alc.vol. makes this a beer to be savoured. Preferably Ondineke is to be served at a temperature between 6 to 10° C. Moreover Ondineke is at its best when served in the originally designed Glazen Toren glass.

bottle, pours a light but hazy golden color, with big fluffy white head. aroma is of apples and citrus. flavor is very light. apples, citrus, some spice. very simple with a clean finnish. not a great beer, but definatly good. would be a lot better on a hot sunny day. not 50 and raining like it is today in Maine.

Licht wazig gouden bier met flinke witte schuimkraag. Kruiden en fruit in de neus met peperige toets. Flink wat koolzuur, licht mondgevoel, duidelijke alcohol. Korte, droge afdronk.

Hazy golden body with a rather small, white, long-lived head. Quite strong aroma of spices, Belgian yeast and fruity hints. Moderate flavour that follows the aroma, with additional notes of citrus, peach and alcohol. Moderate sweet taste, with a light to moderate bitter long-lasting finish. Mid-bodied and dry. Another solid brew form Glazen Toren.

Bottle (750 ml). Split 2-ways.

Appearance: Slightly hazy bright golden with a huge creamy white head, very good retention and some lacing.

Aroma: There’s the Glazen Toren yeast signature with peppery notes, herbal presence, noble hops, biscuity malts and light citrusy/fruity notes.

Taste: Quite yeasty as well with some candi sweetness, peppery notes, herbal presence, biscuity malts, light fruitiness and a touch of alcohol.

Palate: Medium to full body. Medium to medium-high carbonation. Ample and fluffy mouthfeel. Yeasty finish. A bit of caramel.

Overall: Very good classic Tripel. Not too boozy and quite easily drinking for the style. Well balanced despite being quite yeasty. Tasty stuff.
