BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA May 10, 2008 An extremely underrated beer, possibly misunderstood. Pours a beautiful lightly golden color, with some auburn highlights and a soft creamy head. The aroma jumps right out of the bottle, loads of citrus fruit, and just ah int of spice, although I know no spices are added. Loads of candi sugar are present on the palate, a healthy cookie dough malt backbone. The mouthfeel is something similar to biting into a piece of fruit pie in the spring time, sweet and tart. A really lovely drinking experience.
Fin (2164), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Aug 2, 2008 Bottle at Heeren van Liedekercke, Belgium, 26-07-08 Pours mid golden in colour with a white head some spicy citrus, honey, yeasty quite pushy really. I also get the flavour of clementines that have been left in the sun a little while, nice rich creaminess at the end, very nice beer.
