Slayer85 (457), Firenze, Italy Jun 10, 2008 750 ml bottle. A cloudy pale golden beer with a huge and persistent white head that leaves laces on the glass. The aroma is malty and very spicy: hints of corriander and other spices, plus citric fruits and some hops with a grassy note. The flavour is the same spicy and fruity, well balanced, with a touch of acidity. Creamy mouthfeel, medium to full body, lively carbonation, long finish with medium bitterness. Quite complex and refreshing, very spicy. An interesting beer. ekstedt (1958), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 4, 2008 From a 75 cl bottle at Zythos beer festival 2008. Cloudy pale golden with medium white head. Earthy malt aroma with spicy yeast notes and perhaps a hint of coriander, along with typical funky saison touch and notes of wood. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Very well balanced with a light initial sweetness that is overthrown by a firm bitterness and a dictrete acidity. Mes_and_Sim (4476), Highgate, Greater London, England Feb 10, 2008 A Mes rate: 75cl bottle at Battersea Beer Festival. Thick cloudy blonde, lots of floaty stuff and a very good tight white head. It almost spilled out of the glass when pored but settled really well. Sharp hoppy aroma that’s spicy and yeasty with some slight bitter notes. A proper saison. The flavour follows on well. Hops up front as they should be with wheat, malt and lots of grain. Nice bitter finish. Maybe a little over carbed but enjoyable stuff all the same. fonefan (4871), Ulfborg, Denmark Jan 2, 2008 Bottle @ Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen, BE.
