Bottle @ ZBF 2009.
Pours hazy yellow with a slight green hue. Nice, staying, frothy white head. Soft carbonation, lightly malty with some sweet spices; ginger and coriander. High carbonation but still a good, frothy mouthfeel. Flavour is great, good malty sweetness, coriander, pepper, ginger and vanilla mixing in well. Very elegant beer.

On tap at Max’s listed as Saison Special Einedejaar. Pours a really nice mostly clear with a great tight lasting white head. Aroma is nice bready pils malts, doughy, slight lemon zest, and citrus, good clean spicy phenolics from the yeast, and light fruity esters. Nice clean phenolic flavor, mixed with tons of clean refreshing pils malts, vanilla, slight bubblegum, and light peppery spice with just a subtle hint of lemon. Refreshing and crisp clean finish- one of my favorites on tap at the Belgian fest.

Bottle, 75cl. Eindejaar 2008, new exclusive brew 2008, bought at Bierloods and tasted at home with Rob. Hazy golden color, with a rocky white head. Aroma malts, coriander, hops, bit spices. Medium body. Taste little sweet, some wheat touch, coriander, good hops, bitterness. We like it . Nice winter beer !

Bottled at Kerstbierfestival 2007. An unclear orangey beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma is very spicy with coriander and cloves being most dominant. The flavor is sweet matly with strong notes of spices - again cloves and coriander, but also light notes of alcohol, leading to a dry spicy finish.

750 ml bottle. A cloudy pale golden beer with a huge and persistent white head that leaves laces on the glass. The aroma is malty and very spicy: hints of corriander and other spices, plus citric fruits and some hops with a grassy note. The flavour is the same spicy and fruity, well balanced, with a touch of acidity. Creamy mouthfeel, medium to full body, lively carbonation, long finish with medium bitterness. Quite complex and refreshing, very spicy. An interesting beer.

From a 75 cl bottle at Zythos beer festival 2008. Cloudy pale golden with medium white head. Earthy malt aroma with spicy yeast notes and perhaps a hint of coriander, along with typical funky saison touch and notes of wood. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Very well balanced with a light initial sweetness that is overthrown by a firm bitterness and a dictrete acidity.

A Mes rate: 75cl bottle at Battersea Beer Festival.
Thick cloudy blonde, lots of floaty stuff and a very good tight white head. It almost spilled out of the glass when pored but settled really well. Sharp hoppy aroma that’s spicy and yeasty with some slight bitter notes. A proper saison. The flavour follows on well. Hops up front as they should be with wheat, malt and lots of grain. Nice bitter finish. Maybe a little over carbed but enjoyable stuff all the same.

Bottle @ Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen, BE. Unclear medium to dark yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy yeasty and hoppy, grapefruit, sour sweet, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet, light bitter and moderate sour with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (151207)
