3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Mycket god.

Bottle shared by Shawn. Pours a cloudy orange color with a large white head. A big fresh fruity nose, banana, big malts. Yeasty, oranges, massive banana and phenolic esters, bubblegum. Big malty beast on the sweet strong side. Good.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Foco. Pours a clear yellow orange appearance with a big, fluffy off white head. Plenty of perfume and white flowers in the nose with some lemon syrup, banana, and white pepper. Gooey and effervescent. Thick lemon-lime, pineapple flavor. Mild spice. Moderately high sweetness. Slightly artificial flavor with a touch of booze on the finish. Disappointing.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Head is initially large, frothy/creamy, white, mostly lasting.
Body is dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of taffy, gum, fennel seed, plastic, celery.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean.
Medium to full body, syrupy/oily/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
A weird, mostly unpleasant beer. Aroma has a couple nice things but the plastic, celery, artificial taffy-ish sorta notes tend to dominate. Those dirty aspects carry through to the mouth experience in the finish, and the mouthfeel is slick and syrupy, just not enjoyable. Looks nice, but that’s about it. This brewery has seemingly lost its way in the past several years.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Special edition of Saison d’Erpe-Mere made in 2008, with an off-white head and golden blond colour with ochre hue, hazy. Aroma of bitter honey, bread, apple, grapefruity green hops; dry taste with subdued fruitiness, some citrus freshness, malty with a strong, resinous, green hop bitterness which ensures a long finish and through which some noticeable, wodka-like alcohol also pierces.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle thanks to bartlebier. Pours a golden straw with fine bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Aroma has a slight lemon citrus, some hop spice, Alcohol on top of a sage sprinkled malt cracker. Has a big white fluffy head that sticks. On the palate is a slight chewy banana, lemon, citrus, and transforms into a white pepper, dried grass and alcohol heat that dissolves into a sweet tang on the sides of the tounge. Not a bad beer but the Alcohol dominated way too much for me to thoroughly appreciate.
