Beware, this beer is a mighty gusher. When opening it, it began to spray as soon as the cap was lifted, and when I get the cap off, beer geysered out for several seconds. Mild peppery aroma, with hints of spice. Pours a cloudy light straw with a huge white head, that leaves excellent lacing. Delicate flavor, with noticeable carbonation to cleanse the palate. Light and easy drinking on the palate, with a mild peppery finish. This is an excellent beer, I just wish a third of the bottle hadn’t erupted out of the top once it was opened.

Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of yeast, pepper, banana, green banana, fresh and spicy. Light tart flavour, light sour, fresh herbal, light sweet. Light sweet finish with a light sour note.
Lovely saison, very well made.

Hazy yellow body, white head. Aroma is peppery with perfume, flowers and yeast. Flavour has nice yeast aromas, bit toasty malt and light apple. Nice and fullfilling.

Regular 0.75 bottle, wrapped in the white paper with yellow and green stuff on. Bottling date of 10 Apr 2010, drank just before it was a year old during one of my ’random beer tasting evenings’. Poured into three different glasses in one pour: slight haze in the first, getting progressively murkier as the yeast sediment was aroused. The colour ranged from an almost light, dull gold to a deep orangey gold, depending at which glass you looked at. Each of the three glasses however had snowy white, clinging heads of foam, which stayed for the whole tasting. Yeasty aroma, with crushed melons on a clean farmhouse kitchen floor. The taste was also yeasty, again with melons, but joined by grapefruit peel and pepper hints. Easy to drink and very refreshing, not heavy in depth, but certainly not weak or thin, just about perfect for this style in my opinion. I liked it a great deal.

750ml bottle from IPB.
Appearance : Slightly hazy blond with medium foamy white head. Long head retention. Some lacing.
Aroma : Yeasty and slightly citrusy. Some dust with light herbal notes. Light spices. Quite fresh.
Taste : Citrusy and yeasty. Fruity and malty. Finish is yeasty and bitter with herbal notes.
Palate : Rather fizzy and not as fluffy as one would expect from a Belgian Ale. Nothing too hard but it’s usually smoother than that.
Overall : Nice saison. Carbonation should have been a bit better. Nose and taste is nice. Nice yeast and nice hops. Nice citrusy notes. Taste gets a bit better as it warms up. A bit more fruits comes out.Light tartness also maybe.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2012 Che Birra!

750ml. Straw-coloured, filmy body slicked with white. Nose of funky saison stuff; lime-squirted Roquefort, horses, urinal, lily pollen. You get the idea. Fresh, botanical, peppery flavour with green herb, coriander seed, toasted bread and lime notes over funky, farmyard undercurrents. Bittering finish, some alcohol presence, brittle pale malts- biscuit. Bit of a Westy blond thing going on; a Berliner groove, minus the acidity. Moussed and prickling. Pretty good.
