3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
One of the first serious attempts of any Flemish brewery at the Wallonian saison style; peach blonde beer with moussy head and malty, yeasty and fruity profile with appetizing spicy notes and a whiff of peppery hops in the finish. Far from the Dupont or Fantôme saisons, but a very enjoyable ale nonetheless.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
It pours a hazy straw yellow with 2 fingers worth of foam and I see some nice lacing.
Yeasty, spicy, wheat, some bitterness. Spices are cloves and pepper.
Spice is up front in the taste. Peppery, cloves, mild, no, rather assertive bitter flavour then ends in a mix of that bitter and a candi sugar sweetness.
Medium body, zesty level of carbonation.
This is quite enjoyable with the tastes going on and is really very very dry in the finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy pale wheat color with a big white head. The smell is wheat, yeast, spice, orange zest. The taste is spice, yeast, citrus ending dry and crisp. The body is medium with average carbonation with some zip. A nice full flavored saison.

Clear orange yellow pour. Frothy head. Aroma grapes, slight funk, wood, under ripe peaches. Tastes very sweet that comes and goes. Slight ammonia, slight sulfur, horse blanket, grassy hops, light spritz. Very slight dry finish. excellent.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
"Well well well. A pleasant (because it was an unknown) surprise at a local taphouse. Fruity, hoppy, and spicy all rolled into one tasty package. Tropical fruit, melons, banana, a good dose of hops, and light spice (more in the aftertaste) in the nose and flavor. This will be revisited over the summer."

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
An unusual saison with a lot of tripel character. Very light in color, with more fruit and less spice than a typical saison. Pretty dry, a little sour, with hints of orange, sugar, lemon, and yeast. A unique beer that doesn’t really fit into any one style. I taste some Orval in here as well. Really impressive - I wish this were more widely available.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Backlog. Pours dark hazy yellow with a huge head, dissipating slowly leaving lots of lacing. Freashly sour aroma with citrus, lemon soapy phenolic nuance, freshly cut grass, hay, wheat, some malt. Just lovely. Taste is also on the fresh side, with a nice balance of citrus, zest, herbs, fruit esters, yeast, resting on a just enough malty ground to carry it up, finishes quite dry and sour. Light to medium body, soft to medium carbo, dry texture. A lovely saison with great character and, beyond everything, high drinkability.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle from Les Vignerons. Dark canary yellow, pretty hazy, with a big, fluffy and persistent bright white head. Glorious aroma, pretty hoppy and zesty, lots of freshly cut grass, bread crust, fruit esters, light citrus notes. Moderately high bitterness, again quite lemony and zesty, a hint of spiciness/peppery presence, very delicate but at the same time full of flavour. Not the dryest saison ever, but pretty close. Slightly warming, but the alchool is overall well hidden. Average to lively carbonation, light to medium body, slightly creamy texture. Excellent.
