UPDATED: JUN 28, 2013 From draft, 2oz hazy burnished brass pour at bar in middle of a grocery store. This Glazen Toren was aged in pinot and gin barrels and displayed a layered aroma to reflect such a pedigree: toasty, prickly and sweet. The estery flavors wer even more esoteric, but I got some mineral sparkle, fresh wood, spring flowers and sunshine. Taught, lean-bodied, highly carbonated. Elegant

Cloudy gold pour from the bottle with a foamy head ... moderate retention. Aroma if citrus fruit and floral hops. Smooth, crisp flavor of citrus and malt with a trace of a yeast. A rich body that finishes with the yeast traces and a slight hop bite. Very refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Served on-tap at Hunger N Thirst.

A - Pours slightly murky orange with a nice one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving thin sheets of lace on the sides of the glass.

S - Smells of bready yeast, black pepper, banana, dash of fruit and some earthy hops. A traditional Belgian saison for sure.

T - Starts off with some mild black pepper spice quickly being joined by the bready malt and fruity yeast and finally the banana and light earthy hop bitterness. Finish is a little sweet with plenty of chewiness, lingering long after the finish.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, effervescent feel with only a faint hint of booze as it warms up.

O - A nice example of a traditional Belgian saison. It has just enough to keep me coming back for more.

Bottled. Pours clear, deep golden with a large, lacing, white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus and bread. Sweet flavor that ends up dry, acidic and bitter. Medium bodied, watery texture and soft carb. A very nice Saison.

Wow quite an impressive saison, silky texture and lovely balance of biscuit malt and apricot fruitiness with a clean finish and dangerously high drinkability :)

Pours a large creamy white head that moatly diminishes. Body is hazy light yellow, sparkles are visible. Aroma contains moderate malts (cookie, hay), light hops (spruce, orange, lemon), lightnyeast (dough, leather) and banana, bubble gum, ineapple, cherry and other aour fruits and slight alcohol. Flavor starts off light acidic, then light sweet is added, then it's light acidic and light bitter and finally it finishes in bitter. Body is medium with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Refreshing, quite balanced, dry finish. Good.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2014 Bottle. Pours a pear juice color, very hazy, large sediments. Aromas of white wine grapes, Emerthaler cheese, Rochefort cheese. Real nice. Taste is mellow and very well balanced, sightly citric but mostly creamy. Dried citrus fruits, hint of Rochefort again. Mellow and agreeing aftertaste. Not bad, would definitely recommend this as appetizer to a nice summer meal.
