Clear straw colour. The US hops are obvious and make a good impression - spicy and aromatic - in the aroma. This carries through into the flavour, with lots of juicy hops, nicely balanced by a touch of subtle malt. Crisp, dry finish, again with tangy hops maintaining the interest. Many beers of this style promise a lot in the aroma, but ultimately fail to deliver the goods. This one has all the elements in place, in good balance and impressed me greatly. Cask (gravity), Peterborough Beer Festival 2004.

Peterborough Fest. Excellent Golden Ale - plenty of gentle citric fizz, pleasantly supported by a decently brewed pale malt. Very nice.
