Hand pulled at Out of the Vaults, Leicester (during RB Leicester crawl). Very watery Golden hop flavour. The hops are negligable (sp?). Refreshing in a watery sense, but errrrrrr boring.

Cask, Out of the Vaults Leicester Crawl Jan 2005. Pale gold, thin white head and moderate condition. Gentle hop aroma, low sweet fruity malt in the mouth that lingers in the aftertaste.

Glentworth seems to churn out one-off beers by the score (rather like a northern equivalent of Archers or Cottage) and specialises in golden ales. This beer conforms to that pattern. There’s nothing positively unpleasant about this beer - its very soft and eminently quaffable, but it lacks presence, or interest. If you’re looking for aromatic, juicy hops, look elsewhere. A wishy-washy offering. Cask (handpump), Out of the Vaults, Leicester (RB Leicester pub crawl).

Plain looking ale with a very light aroma and watery and lightly bitter flavour. Overall drinkable but quite weak tasting.

Pale gold with a bubbly white head. Aromas are dry, hoppy and crisp. This has a decent level of hopping but is a little on the thin side. It is refreshing, though. Its name is a decent reflection of the beer - it tastes cold, even when warmed up.
