2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. Aroma just has a hint of citrus but nothing more. Pale yellow color, white head, fair lace. Light sweet, light bitter, malty, hints of citrus in the flavor as well. Yes it’s a Kolsch, which means boring in my opinion.

Fruity(a bit of juniper) and malty smelling beer. Tastes like cookie dough and citrussy fruits, nice crispy, and hoppy finish. excellent kolsch!

Swing-top. Lively orange pour with a frothy beige head. Smells of doughy malt, yeast, mild fruitiness, and a little apple juice. Light, crisp, and refreshing, mildly fruity with restrained bitterness. Clean with a touch of acidity in the throat and a hint of tart metal around the teeth. Medium-dry with a whisper of hops. Pleasant! Thanks to MoritzF!

Ah, I’m not into the helles and pilsner styles, so this isn’t a headliner. Within style, not bad. But, I won’t seek this one out again (just had to complete the Gleumes trifecta). Nice five minute pillowy head that basically disappeared after that (some lacing). The carbonation and bubbling were not impressive. Not a bad helles, but it’s still just a helles.

Thanks MoritzF! Big foamy head on the light golden colored brew. Watery, weak flower taste and also corn. Not much n the nose either. Bland, boring.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Swing-Top bottle. Nicely laced white head atop a yellow, slightly bubbly body. Aromas of hops, grains, and slightly spicy sweetness. Smooth, almost creamy body with an initial malty sweetness that’s followed by more dry grain flavors and a dry finish. Slightly dry and bitter aftertaste doesn’t detract in my opinion. Very tasty.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Swing-top bottle: Pale-yellow coloured, thin, long lasting foamy layer, hazy; grainy, dusty nose, traces of chalk, sulphur; very soft start, grainy taste, long, dry, slightly bitter-grainy aftertaste; light bodied, very smooth, but where’s the taste.......?

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
(swing top bottle) Hazy golden colour with a medium steady foamy white head. Very herbal hoppy aroma with a tinge of wet straw and grainy malts. The taste is initially malty with a lasting soft dry finish. A spicy and tasty brew with a smooth and almost creamy texture. A medium bodied, unfiltered Kölsch-type beer from the Lower Rhine with its own character. Good.

Bottle - courtesy of Dortmunder
Hayish, fruity (pears, oranges) and spicy aroma.
Cloudy yellow, stable creamy white head.
Flavor is a bit of a letdown: Papery malt base, a bit fruit, yeasty, spicy - going into a
gunpowder exit. Lingering minerally hay note.
