Swing-Top bottle. Nicely laced white head atop a yellow, slightly bubbly body. Aromas of hops, grains, and slightly spicy sweetness. Smooth, almost creamy body with an initial malty sweetness that’s followed by more dry grain flavors and a dry finish. Slightly dry and bitter aftertaste doesn’t detract in my opinion. Very tasty.

Das Zeug hört nicht auf zu sprudeln, schrecklich!
Säuerlich, recht bitter und natürlich überaus prickelnd ist das Bier. Das Ganze wirkt dabei wie ein nur halb fertiges Bier und ist nicht zu empfehlen.

Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, light hoppy, soapy. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101007]

On tap at the brewpub on the 27th of March.
Shows a clear golden colour, a creamy, medium white head and soft carbonation.
Smell of yeast and malt, the taste is sweet, flavour’s bready.
Aroma of cereal malt, grassy hops and upper fermented yeast, the finish is spicy and dry, bodie’s medium.
Not a cavalcade of aromas, but it passes.

On tap at the brewpub. A clear, golden beer with a small, diminishing white head. Fine lacings. Very herbal nose, vegetal and fruity, with just a little maltyness in the background. Some malty sweetness in the mouth, quite dry, with some herbal and vegetal notes, and a decent bitterness. Medium body. Herbal, bitter finish. A rather strange one, but with good quenching qualities. 091010

Tap at the pub in Krefeld. Light and hoppy, but not too complex. A typical average Helles, pleasant, but not as good as their lagerbier.

Bottled. Aroma just has a hint of citrus but nothing more. Pale yellow color, white head, fair lace. Light sweet, light bitter, malty, hints of citrus in the flavor as well. Yes it’s a Kolsch, which means boring in my opinion.

Fruity(a bit of juniper) and malty smelling beer. Tastes like cookie dough and citrussy fruits, nice crispy, and hoppy finish. excellent kolsch!

Swing-top. Lively orange pour with a frothy beige head. Smells of doughy malt, yeast, mild fruitiness, and a little apple juice. Light, crisp, and refreshing, mildly fruity with restrained bitterness. Clean with a touch of acidity in the throat and a hint of tart metal around the teeth. Medium-dry with a whisper of hops. Ah, I’m not into the helles and pilsner styles, so this isn’t a headliner. Within style, not bad. But, I won’t seek this one out again (just had to complete the Gleumes trifecta). Nice five minute pillowy head that basically disappeared after that (some lacing). The carbonation and bubbling were not impressive. Not a bad helles, but it’s still just a helles.
