Pours a dark ruby red beer with a solid head. It smells sweet, tart and slightly roasted malty. Starts with lots of roasted-bitter malts, also caramel-like. finish is malty and caramelly, with some roasted notes in the background!

Dark red-brown colored with medium sized yellow head. Rich chocolaty aroma with thin roastiness, some grains and sweetness with rich caramel. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is sweet as well with rich caramelly-chocolaty note, flavor is also slightly roasted. Very sweet one, misses some body.

Clear medium red brwon - amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to lgiht heavy malty, bread, caramel, light roasted and nutty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark bread, roasted bitter, dusty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101016]

(swing top bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a dense, medium-sized, beige foamy head. Light-sweet, toast-malty, nutty nose with bread-crusts, caramel and delicate herbal hops. Light-sweet flavour with an aromatic roasty bitterness; medium to light bodied, smooth, well-carbonated mouthfeel. Cara-malty, moderately roasted taste with herbal hops; almost dry, moderately bitter and hoppy finish. Nice Dunkel with a little hop bite.
