Cask handpump. Black colour with a small head. A sweet coffee aroma. The flavour is hoppy with coffee and treacle notes. No chocolate notes at all. Very drinkable.

Cask conditioned handpump Post Office Vaults Birmingham 11/03/14. A near black beer with an off-white bubbly head. Quite a bitter but fruity porter. Mocha notes. A nice body. A good late bitter kick. Tasty and enjoyable.

Cask at the Kings Arms - London. Pours deep brown with a foamy, tan head. Moderate roasted malt aroma, nips of earth. Light sweet flavor with mild chocolate character, some well toasted bread, a bit of earthy and burnt wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Lightly drying roasted malts to finish. Decent stuff.

Bottle, pours near black with a fine beige ring of foam, roast grain and treacle on the nose with a touch of aromatic hops, rich burnt-bitter and hoppy body with dark chocolate, treacle and a little pine and toasted caramel on the palate. Lasting burnt-bitterness. A gorgeous Export India Porter.

light chocolate, mildly spruce aroma. An old bottle, end of its use by date. Cola black with white foamy head. Rich chocolatey flavour with burnt caramel and nutty notes. Actually quite surprising based on aroma. Floral / resinous tastes, not sure what that is but it is pleasant.

Cask conditioned at The Lych Gate, Wolverhampton. Black with cream head. Good roasty flavours, liquorice and roast chestnut come to mind, plenty of depth, lasting and deep. Very pleasant.
