Garrold (1710) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2014
Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Pale gold. White, broken head. Peachy, zesty, marmalade aroma. Maltiness peeks through. There’s an initial jammy, sweetness on first taste, before a zesty, citric pithiness comes in. The light maltiness balances everything up. Very nice beer.

Cask conditioned handpump King Billy Northampton 26/07/13. A hazy light brown coloured beer with a white head. Fruity and hoppy and malty. A well balanced sessionable beer with a hint of spice somewhere it seems. Quite a decent bittersweet beer.

BlackHaddock (4121) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUL 23, 2013
Hand-pulled half-pint in the excellent Duke William, Stourbridge on 6th July during the RB Black Country Beer Trip. Old gold/light amber body, beige head that tried to stay but failed. Malty molasses rule the nose and taste: caramel and toffee notes, just about held in check by a subtle hop presence that gives a satisfying semi-dry and bitter finish. Body depth fine and in keeping with it’s alcohol strength: a good beer.
