Bottle, given to me by a co-worker who just visited Germany. Pours an attractive, clear dark bronze with an off-white head. Nice toasted grain/caramel/dark fruit aroma with the slightest tinge of herbal hops in the background. Clean flavor - notes of dark caramel, toffee, plum, raisin, cola, light Noble hop character and a very clean yeast with no imperfections. Has a pleasant sweetness level which never gets cloying. Medium bodied with smooth texture and moderate carbonation. Very well-made- great session beer.

*Old rating, best before 28.06.06. Schön fruchtig-dunkler Bock. Intensiv, mild-weich, tolle tiefe caramel-frucht Aromatik.

Bottle. Clear, choco brown color, small brown head. Bready, chocolate, caramel notes in the aroma. Taste is decent dry, bit sour and a bit alcoholic, almost no bitterness. Aftertaste has a few malty aromas, but not much. Texture is medium, fresh carbonation. Due to its low sweetness this Bock lacks the heaviness from other Bocks. Good drinkable, I would sort it in as a strong Dunkel.

Flasche. - Tiefes Kastanienbraun, klar; kurzlebiger Schaum.

Vollkommen ok.

Bottled@One Pint Pub, Helsinki (old backlog). Deep red colour with a mediumsized beige foamy head that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, mild sugary notes as well as some rye bread and mild toasted notes. Flavour is being quite similar with some mild ripe fruity notes. Balanced, but a bit thin.
