The beer in the glass is pale yellow, slightly cloudy, with coarsely porous foam. The beer smells yeasty and spicy, slightly soapy. Starts very tart, very slight yeasty, pleasantly bitter and spicy, with plenty of hop aroma. A subtle bready and grainy note comes on in the background. In the middle part, the beer is very grainy and hoppy-bitter. Goes into a very hoppy-bitter, subtly spicy and yeasty-grainy finish!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 17, 2011
Absolut empfehlenswert!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 chimplechamp (581) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 30, 2009
This was the one I was most excited to try from a group of beers my sister in law got me. It’s from her boys hometown in germany. Pours golden hazy straw with a white head that goes away quite fast. nose is complex and heavy with notes of dough, must, cellar, with a certain freshness about it that seems contradicting. tastes dough, dry bitter finish has that freshness about it still. very good for a pilsner, i think this might be my first unpasturized pilsner and it is worlds better than the other option.
