Consumed as Gluek Dark, at Glueks bar, downtown Minneapolis. For anyone who hasn’t been, this bar is a good time, quality of the beer aside. I was already in the bag from goldschlager and vodka-cranberry, but this dark brown beer is fairly called a dunkel or vienna. Some malt and a mild roasted character. Probably the least bad beer I have had from this brewery.

This beer has the color and appearance of bar Coke - a little flat, a little watered down. Now just toss on a thin cap of whitish beer foam, and there you have it. No lacing. Aroma... nope. Taste... returning to the watered down theme, this tastes like a diluted mild dark lager, like maybe Mich Dark after you melted a couple ice cubes in it. Barely perceptable sweet malt flavor - if I told you that I tasted chocolate or caramel or roasted grains I’d be lying. Hops... fuhgettaboutit. A little undercarbonated, exceptionally thin and watery body and mouthfeel. Now for the good news - I saved money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.
