Wow, bad even for glueks. At this point, buy their red bock, or pony up the extra cash to get some Bud. Thouroghly undrinkable.

You know, it’s not a great beer, but I’m always surprised at how Gluek makes such cheap beer that’s actually drinkable.

Only slightly better than the other gluek offerings and this is only due to the fact that it doesn’t piss me off quite as much as the others when I drink it. The flavor is still awful yet minimal so again, people, read the ratings before you buy this. Don’t think that this is a good beer by any style.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 hero12 (178) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 9, 2008
Fruity, pale, weak, wattery, all words that come to mind when drinking this. Only had it because of the price and homeland pride. Probably wont get it again.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 WallyWalrus (205) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 13, 2008
12oz can. Pours an extremely pale hay color with a fairly nice white head. Aroma is light and sweet, with a fruity lemon scent alongside a bit of grain and malt. Body is light and dry, with a very neutral flavor yielding just the slightest hints of citrus, grain, and malt and a slightly off aftertaste. Very...uh...cheap?
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Shag (2283) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - JUN 4, 2008
A pale yellow appearance with a small white head. The aroma is very faint with some corn and lemons. The flavor is a bit on the dry side with some lemons, hay, and corn. Overall not too much going on here but not offensive either.

I wish I could rate this beer lower. I was challenged by a brew friend to find the worst beer commercially available. I thought I had won with the Stite Light Lager which was worse than the Lawson Creek Vanilla Stout. Nope, she beat the pant off of me with this beer. Can you say oxidized buttered blood sausage. The three worst beers I have rated are from this brewery. I am no longer falling victim to their cunning marketing schemes.

Canned. Pale straw body with a quickly fading bright white head. The aroma is grainy corn with some cherry syrup. There is also a little bit of buckwheat pancakes. The taste has glazed donuts with some apple chips. However, the finish is strangely metallic with some muted corn chips. Not as bad as some of Gluek’s other pale lagers.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2008 I agree completely with sledge jr. This brewery is just down the road from my in-laws place. The people are so friendly and let you linger in the tap room as long as you will keep talking with them. But, the beer is rough. They make the Monster energy beverages there as well. So you are awake and drunk when you leave the property.

Fresh poured at Gluek’s Bar and Grill downtown Mlps...in a liter glass. Not great, but not bad either.
