Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of stale malt, light toffee and grain. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with light carbonation. Crap. [22-08-2016]

Commissioned beer made from sorgho, rice and teff, so no barley, which in itself makes it special. Snow white, loose head, cristal clear yellow blonde robe, like a pale lager. Unusual grainy smell with sweetish and sourish hints, difficult to describe, apple juice, rice wine, champagne, gooseberry, mango, cardboard, vanilla, dried lemon peel, mint, something sweaty. Equally weird taste, rather neutral at first with mineral-like carbonation, then becoming cava- or cider-like, dry and grainy, sourish, supple mouthfeel, thin finish with faint floral hops, very lightly bitter but also sourish and dry because of it. A faint hint of alcohol also shines through. Strange, not very yummy, but interesting at least from a theoretical perspective.

16/XI/13 - 33cl bottle @ Den Zytholoog (Adegem) - BB: n/a (2013-1065) Thanks to the Englishman sharing his glass with me!

Clear pale beige to hay yellow beer, small white head, dissipates quickly, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: orange peel, grains, bit stale, oxidized. MF: soft carbon, light body. Taste: lots of orange peel, sweet and sugary, stale grains, not offending, but very boring. Aftertaste: sweet, some honey, orange peel, meh.

The last 0.33l bottle on the shelf in a grocery store i Kristiansand, and it’s expiration date were back in march 2010. The place where the best before is stamped it actually says ITALY. Not sure if this means that the bottle has been made in Italy, or if it’s just the label? Anyhow, a bit strange. This bottle actually says 4.7% abv instead of the mighty 5,2 ratebeer clames that it should be. So, do I have any expectations before popping this? Naah.. Let’s give it a go anyways! It pours a clear golden body with a quickly sidesticking just off-white head. It smells like ripe fruits and malts. Not much more, but it’s actually quite alright on the aroma. Surprised there in other words.. It tastes at first like melony-fruits, then all of a sudden it completely changes character in to a light sour and cardboard-like thing with lots of really thin and watery citrus. I easily managed the whole bottle, and it even if it was boring and dull in taste, it was fun having with the story and my extreme low expectations. 19.04.2012

A golden beer with a thin white head. In aroma, a grassy grain with weird acidity. In mouth, a rather chalky and grainy taste, thin, not very good. Tasted Dec. 25 2011. Bottle from Piscator, BB Feb 2011.

Poured clear golden with quickly diminishing head. Not much on the nose. Flavours a little off. As far as gluten-free beers goes this is average.

Bottle. Watery. It’s a little bit sweet. Only for those who are allergic to wheat.
