(Cask- Man of Kent, Rochester) i didn't care for it too much, but maybe my palate was shot to pices by this stage of the day. Grainy, edgy flavour, some light citrus hops, pretty boring, in fact i had written in my notes 'entirely boring'.

First tasted this in the Anchorage Hotel, Troon in July 1991. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear straw in colour with a thin white head. Zesty grassy notes present in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a slight digestive biscuit note with hints of gooseberry fruit and kiwi. Strong floral notes of hop resins flood the long aftertaste with pine resin evident. Finish is bitter sweet with hops still present in the mouth. An ok session bitter but not as complex as similair strength bitters out there.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A dark golden beer with a thin yellowish head. The aroma has notes of citrusy fruits, malt, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and hops. I find it boring.

Handpulled cask at the Black Lion in Lynsted, Kent. Gold with white head. Light bodied ale with a malt accent. Drinks like a mild. OK.

Cask at the Trafalgar with Mes, 25th April 2008. Orangey gold in colour and served in great condition, but it was downhill from then on. Slight aroma of creamy vanilla and tastes of nothing much. Average weight and utterly bland and forgettable. A waste of money.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at the Trafalgar.
Slightly hazy pale gold with a thin white head. Bland aroma of straw and some light chlorine. Flavour is less offensive but very bland. Pale wheat and straw with a light sourness at the back of the palate and some corn in the finish.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. ’Light’ being the operative word... Gold with a small white head. Very little aroma. The taste is also rather thin. A slight, not unpleasant biscuity malt flavour is not enough to tempt one into spending a full session with this brew.

bow bar edinburgh ... Pale yellow ... light leafy hop ... light fruit hop ... nice hop balance, but not for me.
