A true draught pale ale made with floor-malted low-colour Maris Otter malted barley and hopped with the finest East Kent aroma hops. Dangerously drinkable!

Side by side with the Goachers Fine Light ale, and not as good in my opinion. Smooth palate but indistinct blur of caramel and dirt. (on tap, Man of Kent, Rochester)

Handpump (@ The Flower Pot, Maidstone, Kent): Golden, almost clear, lacy smaller white head, moderate to solid fruity and bisquity nose, moderate sweet-bitter flavour, relatively full bodied; ślightly lingering bitter-sweet herbal hoppy finish with an illusion of alcohol in the aftertaste. Solid stuff…

Handpulled cask at the Black Lion in Lynsted, Kent. Gold with a thin white head. Aroma of apples suggested that it may have been past it’s best. No off tastes and quite smooth and sweet. Would like to try in fresher condition.

Sampled at the Man of Kent pub in Rochester. A pale goldenish ale with hints of citrus in a sweet kind of way. Very drinkable, but with a hefty kick to it. Quite nice
