75cl courtesy of Umberto. Pours a dark amber/brown color with a big beige head. Long lasting foam. Aroma is has definite balgian yeast qualities with a stout character to it. Yeasty, spicy, roasted malt, wood notes, some licorice. Taste is pretty similar but shows a pungent bitterness from midway to the end. Like a bitter root or something. Again, wood, licorice, yeast, some sweetness up-front and then this massive burnt-like bitterness. Very nice blended flavors, not to over the top. Alcohol almost unperceivable in the mouth. Full bodied with good carbonation. Very nice indeed, and this bitter character adds a kick to it.

Bottle courtesy of Umberto, grazie signore! Shared with GT2 and oteyj, and GT’s commander. Small gusher. Hazy dark amber color, large tan head that settles quickly. Aroma of burnt caramel and toast. Taste is metallic burnt toast and molasses. Hi carbonation. Molto interessante.

750mL thanks to Travlr and Umberto. GUSHER!!! Pours clear, deep red to brune. Fizzy, beige head. Settles down quickly. Overcarbonated. Nose is sweet red cherries, molasses, celery, mint, oxidized barleywine. Taste is very spritzy, way over carbonated, very sweet sticky maltiness. Some over aerated barleywine notes. Mild diet cherry soda and old Tootsie Roll candies. Palate is over aerated, metallic, bland, drained. Odd.

Thanks travlr! Dark brown red pour with a thin beige head. Big yeasty dark fruit and mild oxidation with very mild vegetative notes and a background of caramel molasses. Like an American style barleywine that has been aged a bit too long. The flavor holds big bready yeast and caramel malt with lots of toffee and vinous sweetness. Finishes of tootsie roll. Full body with excellent pillowy carbonation and a sticky sweet finish.
