An intensely aromatic pale beer, brewed with long summer evenings in mind.

Cask at the Simeon Arms during the Isle of Wight Jolly. Pours clear yellow with a creamy white head. The nose has dried grains, hay and light biscuits. Light sweet flavor with bitter grass, minerals, grain husk and lemon rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Grainy and grassy on the finish with more rindy lemon. Eh, OK.

Cask. Light hazy yellow with a small white good lacing head. Rotten eggs and farts on the nose. Flavour is a bit less offensive than the nose, but still the rotten eggs and farts dominates over light notes of hay and grass. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, light sweet and medium bitter. Long dry and light bitter finish.

Cask - BBQ chicken and sulphur.  Clear gold with a decent white head.  Bready and pale malts with some light bitterness.  Smell is really off, but beer is fine.

Scopey (7375) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 25, 2014
Cask at the Simeon Arms, Ryde during the IoW Jolly. It pours clear pale gold with a small white head. The nose is eggy, sulfurous, farty, corn and earth. The taste is crisp, grassy, egg & cress sandwich, toast, citrus peel and soap with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Eggy/sulphrous stuff is pretty nasty. No good.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Crispy and fresh with a decent bitterness and aromas of hops, bread and few citrus fruits. Sharp bitter end, decent drinkability and a touch of spruce. Not bad at all.

Bottle from co-op in Cowes. Pours out in a clear golden-blonde colour with low head and crisp body. Aroma of citrus and bitter hops. Taste of a fresh sea breeze, bitter hops, citrus and grass. Thin-acid finish. Refreshing and specialbut not that bad. Very bitter finish.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 27 Apr 2014) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, slightly malty nose with citrus, tropical fruit, grass and biscuits. Malty, fruity taste with notes of tropical fruit, citrus, grass, biscuity malt and a fresh, floral bitterness in the finish. Light body, with balanced sweetness. Quite light, but fresh and tasty. Quite nice.

Cask @ OT. Pours clear pale golden with a rocky offwhite head that doesn’t leave much trace while dissipating. Smell is subtle with caramel, buttered white bread, orange zest, moist grass and lemon zest. Taste is sweet, tiny bitter and tiny floral with white bread, moist grass, orange zest, butterscotch hard candy, bergamot and biscuits, mouthfeel is soft, flat, round, slightly astringent and light bodied. Finish is bitter with biscuits, moist grass, orange peal, bergamot and dried flowers. Forgettable...
