Cask @ Black Door. Aroma is rather mellow with some toffee. Flavour has hayish malt, minerals and some toffee. Also some menthol-like hops. Feels rather bready at the end of the glass. Easy-going and easy to forget.

Cask@blackdoor. Amber. Light herby grainy malty, toffee caramels. Med bittered, slight grassy finish. Autumnal leafy bitter. A bit too bitter fo me to feel well balanced.

Cask (Angleterre, Helsinki)
My goodness, it’s a mix of treacle and rabbit hutch! Beatifully soft palate. Wow, such a contrast against all the keg shit I’ve had this evening. Unfortunately, it tastes naff - some treacly sweetness from the malts, some earthy bitterness from the hops, but it’s a mess. Finish is massively bitter and earthy. Danes and Yanks who wank over IBUs should just STFU and drink a beer like this, this is bitterness how the Brits defined the style before the US was even a real country. You can tell the Brits invented the style, because the style is called "bitter". And this is just a "decent" UK bitter. Finish perhaps too tongue-curling for me. Fuggles and EKG rock!

Bottle shared at the Waterfront Inn during the Isle of Wight Jolly. Pours clear, shiny gold, lightly effervescent, with a frothy white head. The aroma holds some leaves, toasted grain and citrus rind. Light-medium sweet flavor with mild piney hops, light toasted grass, grainy bread and ripe orange. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderate sweet, bready malts to finish with grains, moderate piney bitterness, more citrus rind. Very decent.
