2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dull dark clear brown, thin spotty off white head. Twiggy/bark malty caramel nose - oddly sweet and not terribly inviting. Stiff bitterness throughout here, stale and not enjoyably sweet. Watery and bitty towards the finish, not-thank-you tang of bitterness on the linger. Pretty basic stuff not going very right.
Cask, The Counting House, Glasgow, JDW

Not great. As someone else says tastes like a drink from 70s in more ways than one. Dissappointing

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask at Counting House JDW, Glasgow. Pours clear dark brown, big bubbles on top. Toffee nose, not much else. Tastes like the 1970s; or an out-of-date can of Stones bitter. Didn’t like it much.

Cask at The Playhouse, Colchester. Poured a clear medium to dark amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is hop liqourice juicy fruit. The flavour is light bitter light sweet with a watery malt toffee hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Rather nice actually and not the hop fest I was expecting.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at the Kings Head W2. Old school English bitter this, mid brown liquid without much head. Malty initially, then hop bite. Dry, malt more towards biscuits than toffee, fruity twangy hop. Had this sandwiched between pints of stronger tasting bigger beer, so was initially not sure but it was actually clean and drinkable.
