Cask at Akkurat. Clear golden with some bubbles on top. Muted aroma with some caramel, honey, flowers and citrus. Sweet honey caramel with citrus and sweet apples and a grassy bitter finish that cling on in the aftertaste. Medium bodied, low soft carbonation, a bit oily. A nice thirst quencher, though maybe on the sweet side.

Cask at the Clarendon Arms, Cambridge. Clear, light honey brown. Very little head. Scent of nuts, toast, bit of wood shavings. Taste is a crisp, clean bitter with a slight hoppy bite in the finish. Body is fuller than would be expected. This is a very very good basic bitter. Surprisingly good. And thatís my 46 English counties, done in style.
