Cask conditioned – handpump – GBBF. A copper coloured bitter with some citric hop in the aroma, but also a sweetish undertone. The taste is crunchy and malty. Some cracker notes and a touch of late sweetness. Quite nice.

Cask, Slug & Lettuce, Leicester. Amber gold with an off white head. Aromas are weetabix and light lemon with trace lime. Earthy with peppery hops. Flavours are dry biscuit with weetabix and pithy, bitter lemon. Clean on the palate with peppery spiciness. Not bad.

Cask at the Craven Arms, Birmingham. Poured a clear amber with a thin bubbly white head. The aroma is malty, but weak. The flavour is weak bitter, a little malty and some citrus hints. A very agreeable and drinkable session beer but I would prefer a little more bitterness if i’m honest.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 chriso (7254) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 3, 2007
Cask (handpump) , GBBF Day 3, August 2006. Amber colour. Seemed rather short of condition resulting in a slightly dull mouthfeel. Otherwise a pretty standard, slightly earthy British bitter. Not much more to say really. By no means bad but by no means special either.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Alphadelic (1630) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 9, 2009
This is somehow the clearest drink I have ever seen. Simple sweet malty nose with the tiniest hint of hops deep in there somewhere. Nice and thick with very little carbonation which works well with its laid back nature. It has a nice balance but it has nothing particularly worthy of a note home. Lots of neutral cereals and a honeyed finish with some bitterness.
