COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - November to Febriary.
A really full flavoured ruby-black beer with dried fruit and bitter chocolate malt notes, leading to a rich, sweetish, fruity finish. Warms the cockles of your heart (whatever they are).

Cask; dark brown, medium white head; aroma is toasted nutty malt; taste is also nutty malt; also bread, backed up with some peppery blackberry hoppiness which lingers in what is quite a bitter finish; it has a soothing gentle sweetness throughout; hints of licquorice, bitter coffee; soft, complex, warming - this is everything you could want from a Winter Warmer.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 13/12/2013. Deep, ruddy brown with a decent, off-white head. Malty and on the sweet side, with plenty of fruit, a hint of roast and moderately bitter finish. Good.

Cask conditioned handpump Kings Head Leicester 07/03/13. A dark ruby coloured beer with a whitish head and lace. An ashy grainy malty beer. A bit of tart fruit. Not enough body to be a winter warmer. Very grainy but it is interesting.

(Cask at Angleterre, 20120220) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts and chocolate. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, grass and bitterness. Afteraste was malty and bitter. A decent malty brew.

Cola-like color: dark brown/red to black. One finger creamy long head (real ale). Dark roasted malt, bread, licorice, coffee. Creamy soft, medium body, soft carbonation, bitter and dry but sweet notes also = lively flavor, nice soft and aromatic finish. Creamy soft and nuanced, enjoyed.

Cask handpull at White Cliffs BF 2012. What I would call a winter warmer. Rich malt some biscuit some bitter hops on end touch of black pepper. Right to the style. And I do like this.

Cask @ Akkurat. Chocolate, caramel, coffee and raisin notes. A touch of clove in the aftertaste. Surprisingly enough, quite vinous. Very smooth. Highly drinkable.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 14 Jan 2012) Reddish brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty, toasty nose with dark bread, raisins, caramel and toast. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, dark bread, dried fruit and toast. Medium body, with balanced sweetness and a gentle bitterness. Well balanced, tasty and quite enjoyable.
