2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Golden color; giant head. Strange aroma, but quite pleasant: malt, vanilla, peanuts. Too simple taste (a bit flowery, violets), a bit sweet and malty; quite short final.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orange body with a nice white head. Sweet aroma, mostly orange with also some spiciness. Flavor is nicely balanced, the sweetness, spiciness & mild hoppiness coming together very well. A bit watery and the aftertaste a bit astringent.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle conditioned, 330ml, at The Kings Tavern, Au Roy de la Biere, Sedan, France. Gold beer with white head. A nice find this pub, before visiting the chateau, quite a decent beer list. The beer is sweet and spicy, and i’m getting pretty cheesed with spice in beer now, sticky and somewhat lacking in finish. Average.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Coriander-riding yeast teaming up with the produced fruity esters. Simple and clean spiciness for a pleasant glass to follow.
Bready yeast offering pineapple-like fruity esters. A dryish finish cuts pleasure a bit short, but overall this remains a clean and simply well-made Belgian Ale.
He’s a good guy, very accomodating.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear light golden, faint white head. Full on coriander attacks the nose, hiding a mellow herbal spiciness and totally dominating the aromatic components. Very sweet in mouth, where banana esters try to procure interesting yeast character, extreme coriander levels strike again, reducing the hops to a murmur. Ample carbonation, medium bodied. Under average.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Head is initially large, frothy, rocky, off-white, fully lasting. Body is hazy light amber, dense particles of all sizes, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately yeasty (cobwebs), moderately hoppy (citrus - lemon, herbs), with light notes of pineapple and clove. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter, lightly acidic. Finish is moderately bitter, moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately astringent. Nice, but some nits: a little too bitter, a little too astringent, a little too yeasty.
