4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
1 pint .9 oz bottle, poured into a tulip glass at about 45 degrees F.
Appearance: Pours a clear deep burnished straw gold, like good natural apple cider, and forms a couple fingers of bright white head with good retention. There’s enough carbonation visible streaming through the glass to raise global mean temperature by .01 degree C.
Smell: Pale biscuity malt meets sea salt air and mild musty mildew funk. Some hints of tart citrus waft through the aroma as well.
Taste: The flavor profile opens with a rush of salt and funk, which fades to let biscuit and tart lemon-orange citrus through. There’s a faint touch of white grape and underripe green apple as well, and the finish leaves the citric tartness lingering beside the mildew funk and salt.
Mouthfeel: Light and quite bubbly, this nails the "refreshing beer" feel.
Overall: I can see why this is one of the beers generally recommended as a staple example of the style. This is a nice, well-executed gose, not too overdone on the salt or sour aspects, with a pleasant depth of character. Will repeat.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Hawthornes. Nothing what I was expecting. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Spice in the aroma and a bit of tartness. The flavor had a hint of lemon with the spice. Lively feel with a nice after taste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by Brian, thanks! Pours a near clear yellowish gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of earthy wheat with coriander and a touch of tartness. Flavor has a bit more tartness with a strong earthy wheat and a some corriander.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
pinkish-orangish-amber. White head, fades very quickly to nothing. Smells like a light lager: a slightly tart hay and grass. Body is watery with a touch of syrup, light, semi-fine carbonation with a moderate burn. Flavor is tart lactic and wheat grain. Finish a tartness bordering on reminiscent of pickles. An OK Gose, a bit too tart for me.

4.2% on tap at Luppulo 12. My first German Gose a lovely cloudy honey gold with a foamy white head. A sour salty funky nose. Light bodied but wow what flavor! Salt, yoghurt, tart, lactic, wheat, think an amped up salty sour Yakult. Great. The nose is so so but the taste is phenomenal.
