Crisp and spicy wheat aroma. A faint whiff of honey. Clean and dry tasting. Spicy and light sour with salty tones. Tart fruitiness underneath. Very unusual, very refreshing. Marsiblursi (1479), göteborg, Sweden Oct 30, 2008 (Bottle thanks to omhper) Pours hazy yellow to light golden with a small head. The aroma is light acidic (lemon, lime and soap), dust, salt, straw-ish malt and light grassy hops with undertones of fruit candy and vegetables. The flavour is medium to full sour/acidic, light malty and light hoppy with tones of lemon, lime, cracker toast and salt. The mouthfeel is tight and dry with a light to medium carbonation. Light bodied. Refreshing. KnutAlbert (2583), Oslo, Norway Oct 20, 2008 Bottle kindly supplied by Doppelbock.
Golden, slowly rising big bubbles.
Stable aroma, some spices.
Salty flavour, quite fruity, like a Kölsch that has taken off. Yeasty residue, a hint of vinegar. Interesting beer. DerWeg (457), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 18, 2008 On draught at weird potato restauraunt in Leipzig. Aroma begins slightly sweaty and spitty amid the sourness, very biological taste, seems sour dry thin at first. Cloudy blonde, very llittle head, tanky flavors. Then halfway into glass emerge finishing flourishes of sour strawberry almost like rhubarb. Astonishingly different beer. Challenging and good. Seek this out wherever you may in this area.
