3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 brugmanneke (81) - GERMANY - FEB 28, 2012
(50 cl bottle) Hazy, golden colour, large creamy white head, which disappears almost completely. Sour and slightly salty taste, hardly any bitterness. Aroma of lemon juice, tart apples, cereals, a hint of honey and grassy hops. Dry finish. I wonder what happens when it ages in the bottle - it is definitely sour enough for me, but I’d like the aroma to be enhanced a bit for better balance. Anyway, it is already quite tasty as it is now!
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BMan1113VR (6531) - Los Angeles, California, USA - FEB 1, 2012
Bottle thanks to GRG1313. Pours with a clear golden body with a small white head that fades. Aromas are of sulfur, lemon juice, grainy, sour and salty. Apple juice and mild coriander. Flavors are of coriander, lactic acid, and apple juice. Pretty strong tartness. Lingering salty tinge on the tongue. Lively bubbles and dry.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bierkrug (1666) - Idar-Oberstein (In East Africa), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JAN 25, 2012
500 ml bottle from Bottleman in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. Pours a beautiful deep straw golden hazy color, thick whipped cream like head leaving a thick layer of lacing. Aroma is Citrus, berries, malt and grass. Taste is a weaker Berliner Weisse. Has some sourness to it but not dominating. Palate is surpringly smooth. Not my style of beer, but nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 womencantsail (3934) - Home of Rebecca Black, California, USA - JAN 15, 2012
Pours a pale yellow color with a tall white head. Not like the other examples of Gose that I’ve had. There is a slight saltiness to the nose, but it’s more lactic than expected. Nice lemon peel and a bit of spice (coriander?) to it. Some sweet malt aroma, too. The flavor is a nice mix of sweet and tart with lemon peel and lactic acidity. A subtle salt and spice flavor is present. Really just light and easy to drink.
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 edpeg (505) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 15, 2012
Since my first time I drank this Gose is now about 5 years, (during that time the Gose has gone through some changes. One being going from 3,9 ABV to 4,2% and the beer label have changed somewhat. The beer pours into a nice hazy amber golden with medium thick head. The white head disappears rather quickly while fizzing. The aroma is distinct citrus and some yeasty nuances. Gose is distinctively sour, with hints of coriander and citrus in palate , the middle taste is refreshing. The aftertaste is yeasty. A mild wheat malt gives a way to a salty finish . Basically that makes you wanna take another sip... and another. The style resembles best German Weizenbeer mixed with Berliner Weisse. It is sour, fruity, sparkling ale with its own character.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ogivlado (4444) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 27, 2011
Bottled 500ml. -from Bier Imperium, Vienna. Dark golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away fast, light yeasty nose. Moderate malty, acidic yeasty and citric taste with hint of spices near the end. Interesting and refreshing.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20 Psytron (577) - Turku, FINLAND - JUL 31, 2011
Hmm.. This ranges from crud to great. Never tasted anything like it. Wheat beer.. but really sour and salty. Sometimes even too much. Gets better when not so cold, but still needs a lot of attitude. Oh, what the hell. Stuffs like this deserve to be noted.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mjs (3000) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 19, 2011
(Bottle, 0.5 l, at Gastropub Tuulensuu, 20110719) The beer poured golden and cloudy. Its head was medium sized, dense and white. Aroma had yeast, hops, smoke and sea water. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were saltiness, sourness, yeast, hops, fruitiness and low bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and mildly bitter. This was the first gose I have tried and I am not disappointed. A bit weird style but not bad. The saltiness was not off-putting.
