COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & bottled; Regular.

A drinkable, tawny coloured ale, with a light hoppiness in the aroma. It has a good balance of malt and bitterness in the mouth, underscored by fruitiness, with a clean, hoppy aftertaste.
Awards
First brewed in 1994, ‘Jouster’ has twice been a finalist at CAMRA’s Great British Beer Festival and voted as one of CAMRA’s “Champion Beers of the Year.”
In 1999 it was also recognised as ‘Gloucestershire’s Champion Best Bitter’ as well as winning several other CAMRA regional beer festivals.

Cask at Baxter’s Court, JDW - Hackney, London. Pours clear gold with a creamy head. The nose holds toasty bread, toffee, light cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavor with toasty bread, more toffee, some leaves, dried orange and grains. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Finishes with grainy bread, more toffee, some brown sugar, grains and mild leafy bitterness. An OK, classically-styled bitter.

Cask at The Old Restoration . Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is toast and nutty malt, spicy hops and light diacetyl. Flavor is malt forward with medium hops and bitterness, light diacetyl and a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

Clear amber red colour with a tiny white head. Caramel, mild floral hops, malt and berries in the aroma. The flavour is dry malty with mild floral hops, mild bitterness and woody and nutty notes. Njah... Quite ordinary Bitter.
