UPDATED: OCT 5, 2005 May, 2003. Cask, London. A straight ahead traditional English Bitter. Amber coloured, fruit up front - orange, moving into a more citric grapefruit and then becoming a dryish marmalade when the hops kick in. Clean, refreshing mouthfeel. A very enjoyable and satisfying pint. Goff’s Brewery was founded in 1996 by Marcus and Alison Goff. [2.8]
May, 2004. Gravity, Rochester Beer Festival. Plastic glass. Warm room. Orange amber session bitter with strange, spicy fruit and a peppery finish. Flavoursome ale of some character. Decent. [3.0]
April, 2005. Good Intent, Rochester. Pub is ugly as sin, but the beer is served in good condition in a good old fashioned jug. A pleasant session bitter with hints of apple and a lingering malty orange dry finish. [3.0]

BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2012
Tawny coloured body, off-white head: this was beer number 4 (all halves) at a beerfest in The George Inn, Eccleshall (April 2012). Gravity poured straight out the barrel: some hop smells but not a lot of anything in the nose really. Nicely balanced taste, the malts blend in well with the hop content and a mixed bag of summer fruits appear in the flavour: easy to drink and although it doesn’t really test your tastebuds too greatly it is a fine bitter.

tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - DEC 19, 2011
Tasted this in Coanes, Johnstone in June 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Opaque tawny in colour with a thin white head. Slight sweet note in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and decent lacing. Pale malt gives a digestive biscuit base with sweet raisin fruit present. Tart resiny hops gives a dry aftertaste. Bitter sweet finish. Not at all complex - just like the rest of the bland portfolio.

(draught) pours a clear golden colour with a ruby tinge and a small off-white head. aroma of raisins and caramel, toasted rye bread, light resin and strawberries. flavour is fruitier, with more strawberries and lots of peaches over a caramel and toasted malt base, quite resinous, with a medium-bitter finish. medium-bodied with very soft carbonation. too heavy.

EdKing (944) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2011
Pint in Dog & Duck, Soho. Pours light brownish amber. Nose is bready, sweet malt, and some fruity hop aromas. Taste is dominated by hops, and most likely some dry hopping as it’s really quite dry and chewy in the mouth. Wet grass is the dominant flavour with a backbone of sweet cereal malt. Finish is so dry though.
