Cask Conditioned at The Rising Sun, Bream, Forest of Dean. A lighter Porter than expected, orangey to brown. It has a caramel, toffee nose and flavour turning to an acidic plum. Sweet throughout with thickish mouthfeel.

Cask@GBBF2008. Golden colour, no head. Aroma is fruits, wood, caramel and some mild notes of dough. Flavour is quite much the same along with some grassyness and mild notes of roast. Strangest porter I have ever had.

Clear golden with tiny white head. Sweet fruity aroma with mild caramel and citric hints. Sweet flavor with fruity and caramel notes. This is propably the lightest porter I have ever had.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. Cantona only knows how Goffs call this a porter. It’s gold in colour if anything with some fruity pineapple notes in the nose. The taste is also fruity with some chewiness in the palate. A bit of warmth from the alcohol. It’s all a bit odd, including the commercial description.

Cask-conditioned at the Old Spot, Dursley, Gloucs 28/8/07. This was even lighter than mentioned before - bright gold with a slight white head. The aroma and flavour remained sweet, with plenty of caramelisation and a buttery finish. A pleasant change.
