Cask-conditioned at the Cross Hands, Winterbourne Down, S Gloucestershire 29/12/09. Deep chestnut in colour with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of cinnamon, cloves and sweetish malts. Flavour began with some dark fruits, a touch of nuttiness and more spices, before a decent bitter finish. An enjoyable Christmas beer.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton A chestnut coloured beer with a whitish head. The aroma has some spices, predominantly cinnamon. Malty in the mouth with more spice and a bit of roast. Nice.
