COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed for www.pijubeer.com with Goji berries (aka "Wolfberries"). Our Goji berries are found in still very remote unpolluted valleys of Himalaya where the soil is loved and respected. After a very strict selection, our Master Brewer is extracting the essence of the fruit in order to create the finest and most tastefull beer. Goji Beer offers a totally new flavor with notes of cranberry, cherry and plum but you will also feel its extraordinary nurturing vitality.

33cl, new exclusive brew Anno 2011, with Goji berries, from De Hopduvel Gent, not complex fruit brew, fruity/spicy and slightly sweet, yet balanced, cloudy, small head, nothing special, yet original brew!

Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. The appearance is light amber with a small white head. The nose is star fruit, strawberry, pick ’n mix candies. The taste is light strawberry, bouncy malts, tropical cirtus fruits. Light body, clean. Pretty pleasant!

33 cl. bottle sampled @ ZBF 2012 // (a) ridiculously messed-up sci-fi neon, bright orange with a white head // (s) aroma is soft with slight yeast, spices & candy-like fruitiness // (t) too cold upfront, candy berries upfront (but it is very fake, I don’t feel like I am getting much is any goji), there is way more caned peaches in here than any berries, yeast, spices, too cold, mellow, sugar, candy fruitiness, // (b) served too cold, bland, almost like standard pale lager with some syrup sweetness, either way, I do feel a bit cheated out of goji berries even I have no freaking clue as to how they taste like, bland perhaps?

(Bottled) Very hazy yellow-golden with a small, firm head. Aroma of dryish red currants, unidentified berries, and surprisingly (considering the ABV) also alcohol and yeast. Flavor is berryish and neutral with notes of raspberry stones and yeast. Medium body, somewhat foamy CO2. Not bad; quite balanced and not too sweet, but lacks flavor. 3335

Bottle @ home. Hazy orange colour with a fizzy head thats gone quickly. Smells malty and sodapop. Not much smell. Tastes very sweet, plum, overripe fruit. Way too sweet for me. Fizzy but low carbo, medium body.

Bottle at ZBF’12, Leuven: Hazy orange coloured brew with berries from the Himalayas, but the taste is pretty fruity with some hints of citrus.

Flaske fra kinesisk supermarked i Brussel: honningfarget med klassisk belgisk skum som etterlater en tynn gardin. Smaken minner om mandariner som har blitt liggende for lenge etter jul, og med en kort, pepperaktig ettersmak.

Bottle @ home. Hazy yellow blond coloured beer with some medium carbonation and a small white head. Rather strange fruity hinted aroma with some hoppy notes. Berries comming forward, with a hint of cranberry. Medium to full palate. Finish is rather soft, fruity, cherry hinted with a sweeter fruity ending. Alternative fruit beer, not bad, but not overwhelming either, little to sweet for me.
