Classic dark mild appearance. Soft aroma - sweetish. Fruity esters in the taste. Medium malty and roasty body. Finish softly hopped and fruity. cgarvieuk (2160), Edinburgh, Scotland Mar 7, 2007 Deep black colour, with a chocolate malty nose, i thought more stout like than mild but a good pint DJMonarch (4091), Northwich, Cheshire, England Feb 3, 2006 Cask Handpump at the Smithfield Hotel, Manchester 13/12/2001
Dark colour smooth on the palate and roasted. Hoppy finish. chris_o (4393), London, Greater London, England Feb 13, 2004 A basic dark mild. Nor bad, but nothing special. My mild performance needs some attention - a mere 14 so far. Cask (gravity), Battersea Beer festival.
Spiesy (2330), Global Citizen, Greater London, England Feb 13, 2004 Cask Conditioned, at the Battersea Beer Festival, 2004. Dark brown like a good Mild should be this was consumed with the Ryburn –Best Mild, at which point we (chris_o, myself and SilkT) were debating who had the most mild rates. Well for all those interested. SilkTork (58), is the King of Milds! Minor places go to: imdownthepub (45), Oakes (41), ompher (30), spiesy (26). Scores are as at the time of the debate i.e. they don’t include milds from the night.
