2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
crystal clear pale golden pour with a white ring as a head along with some spotty lacing (though the glass may just be really dirty at this point). floral grassy nose with hints of sweet pale maltiness. the flavor is much the same combined with grainy apples and a lightly spicy hoppy finish. much too sweet, thin and kinda meh.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
23-May-08 (500-ml bottle: Purchased 12-May-08 for $1.79 at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) Sweet, bready malts are balanced by lightly spicy and very mildly bitter hops, but a bit of wet cardboard sneaks in during the finish. For the style, it seems excessively sweet to the point of tasting sugary, and with the fruity esters and honey-like character, this beer is a little cloying, if such a thing could be possible with a Bohemian pilsener. On the palate, the beer is medium in body, but seems heavier because of all the residual sweetness. Carbonation is light-medium. The nose is also very sweet-smelling, with bready malts and cardboard making a strong showing. Golden in color and crystal clear in appearance. The very small, whitish head settles quickly to a wide, bubbly ring. Overall, it’s an easy-drinkin’ pilsener in short doses, but way too sweet to consume an entire bottle.

Good looking beer with an unexpected metallic-buttery-almond smack. Not bad, but not my favourite:)

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. The lid actually says something under the gold foil, nice. Pours a clear golden with decent white head. Aroma is lightly sweet, lightly grassy, with hints of malt. Body is medium, with low carbonation. Flavor is very lightly bitter, with some sweetness, grain, hint of corn, very faint hops, some buttery flavors. Finish is lightly bitter and clean and grassy. Not too bad overall, I picked up a few odd flavors but it needed a touch more hops for me to really enjoy it.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle: Copper gold color, nice white head and decent lacing. The nose is nutty and grassy with light hop and a sweet buttery malt note, nearly diacetylish. The flavor is also fairly caramelly with a butterscotch note and light corn. A bit of hop crispness in there too. Meh.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Mid to dark gold with a white head. Roasted marmalade malt aroma. The taste is quite yeasty with some gentle sweetness and a rather medicinal bitter finish.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a dingy copper color w/ a medium sized, semi creamy froth that recedes at a moderate pace to reveal a perfectly forged brewers lace. Aroma of sweet malty grains and butter. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers creating a cotton cream texture. Clean and crisp describes this session brew. A unique specimen w/ its buttery flavor but on the other hand the low hop rate is not indicitive of this style. Other nuances of malts and grains. Finish is bittered softly. Drink it cold. It gets a bit nasty as she warms.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. This was pretty bad. Very thin mouthfeel, with a slight metallic edge. There are some nice saazy hop characters, but yeah, way too thin and metallic, quite bad. Boring.
