Drank from bottle. Malty aroma with a bit of ginger, barley (or is that just malt?) and toasted caramel. Flavour has loads of bread and grain. Some sweetness comes from the malts. Becomes almost creamy in the mouth, medium bodied. Very little aftertaste -- leaves the mouth feeling clean.

Bottle from brewery-Pours a deep golden with a short lived white fizz, but there’s a lot of lace. Fresh, floral hop nose, spices, lemons and lime zest, biscuit and cookie. The flavour profile is a leafy green hop flavour, grass with lemon and biscuit cookie at the finish. Finishes bitter and crisp. Well made, and at the price, there’s no reason why this wouldn’t be a mainstay for me.

Bottle (341ml). Via trade with Matt7215. Very pale clear gold, large white head that runs away quickly - looks kind of dead in the glass. Pretty decent aroma - light cereal grain oiliness and soft grassy hops - some biscuit - yeast? Tastes the same - sweeter, only lightly bitter, medium-quick finish and a bit chewy, lightly carbonated, nice and grainy - a decent version of what tastes like a classic Canadian brew, with that Euro hop character added in. Very decent.

341 ml bottle. pours pale gold with a very small white head. aromas of sweet macintosh apples with other subdued indecernable malt. pale malt flavours with no hop presence make this an unbalanced mess. maybe they missed a step on thish batch? no biscuit or breadiness to this one which makes me question the style. i will try it again and hope for a better result.

341ml bottle straight from the brewery. Pours a pale golden colour with a large, frothy, sticky white head that subsides quickly. The aroma is really nice, very malty, smells like the wort boiling when you walk by the brewery. The taste is pretty much the same with a small hop bite at the end, but malts the whole way through. Very cereal-like, bready, sweet malts, and of course since it’s one of my local breweries, it’s VERY fresh tasting. I really should check out more stuff from this brewery. Very nice brew, check it out if you live in KW! Give it a break, lower your high and mighty impy stout standards people. They probably changed the recipe/formula for the beer, because this really does seem far better than the low ratings would have you believe. It seems like a lager-lover type beer to me. This is fast becoming one of my favourite brews, and one that I can always rely on and go to when I get that craving for a bready malty lager!
